D.C. and beyond!
Well, hello all.
First of all, I'd like to welcome anyone whose checking out this site for the first time through the facebook. Very glad you game, and if you joined the group then that's great too. Also, if you really want to be in the know then go to the College Democrats of America link here to our Western group. Sign up, and you'll be on our regular mailing list, with announcements of activities, trips, or just meeting times (we'd love to see ya.)
Speaking of trips, you may (or may not) have seen our signs up announcing our D.C. trip. Anyone is welcome, and as you probably want to know the price is 400$. That includes a $200 dollar deposit due by early April (check back for a more specific date.) The main focusing event is the College Democrats conference; however, we should be able to meet some prominent people, meet some other Democrats, and then have the kind of fun that only D.C. can offer. So if you're interested join up on our list, e-mail our President Kyle about it (or any of the other officers,) or check back here.
Hey, if you can't go that's okay. In fact, right now you can show your view with new "think BLUE" wrist bands. They're only three dollars and are sold wherever you can find your local democrat (who would likely be wearing one.) Also, we should be able to have a link through here too, so that you're purchase can help the WKU democrat chapter. But if it's more then spirit you want, then think of this. The money made from wristband purchases will go to the trip, thus, hopefully lowering the overall cost. So good all around.

We meet again...
Sorry for the hiatus,
We are now meeting regularly again. So far we have divided up subcommittees (of which there is still room to join). Started preparing for a D.C. trip for the Summer (still room there too, but act fast), and then fundraising.
Currently we meet once a month; however, each subcommittee meets outside of that schedule too. That's a summary, check back for more in-depth detail.
And if you would like to join us then join us through the College Democrats of America WKU section. (that should take you there) Once you do that, then you can e-mail Kyle Gott, our president, any question that you may have about the meetings, the subcommittee, the D.C. trip, or the cool Blue in 2008 wristband that we'll be selling on campus soon.
